From the 5/6 Classrooms

As part of our whole school concept of  Change Team 5/6 are researching Australian history, making dioramas and writing historical narratives. During the EXPO this term we will be sharing the dioramas and students will dress up as their chosen person from Australian history. 

 We are continuing to explore significant events and people from Australian history between1700 - 1900. 

At the moment we are focussing on settings, characters and plots of narrative texts. 

Classes are also making progress with their dioramas that depict a chosen event from Australian History. 

Maths 

During maths classes we have been focussing on multiplication. As part of our learning we examined different multiplication strategies and created gardens linking multiplication to area and perimeter.
