Principal's Report

As Catholic Education Week draws to a close, we find ourselves filled with gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate our cherished traditions and the excellence that defines our educational community. This week has been a testament to the values we hold dear and the commitment we have to nurturing the minds, hearts, and spirits of our students.

Throughout the week, we've had the privilege of reflecting on the rich tapestry of Catholic education and the profound impact it has on the lives of our students. Amidst this reflection, we are excited to be accepting enrolments for the 2025 school year. On Wednesday we hosted an extremely successful information evening, at which we welcomed a number of new and existing families to the school.

We would also like to extend a genuine thank you to the Grade 6 children who have been invaluable ambassadors for our school throughout Catholic Education Week. Their enthusiasm, poise, and dedication in leading tours for prospective students and families have been truly commendable and a reflection of the school identity statement ‘Leaders for Tomorrow’. We are immensely proud of each and every one of them for embodying the values of our school with pride and authenticity.

As our tours and enrolment period continues, I urge families intending to enrol for Foundation/Prep 2025 to submit an application as soon as possible. Application closes on 24th May and offers will be sent out in early June.

On Tuesday 7th May at 6.30pm we will be hosting a combined school council / parents and friends meeting to discuss future events at the school and provide an opportunity for parents to connect with the community. We invite all existing members to attend as well as parents more broadly who are enthusiastic about building opportunities within the school for socialisation and fundraising.

Congratulations to the 30+ children who participated in the district cross country on Wednesday. The training and active preparation certainly paid off with a number of successes and personal bests being achieved. Thanks to the teachers involved in supervising and all children who represented the school in such a positive manner.

Finally, I am excited to be attending the Grade 3 excursion to Sovereign Hill next week. I know the children are looking forward to a fantastic day away, maybe we might even find some gold. Thank you to the teachers for their work in preparing the day. It promises to be a great day!
