Coliban Water Incursion

On Tuesday 23rd April, Ben and John from Coliban Water came to visit. They talked about why rivers are so important. They also showed us how water gets to our tap. John showed us a model of how the water cycle works. John and Ben will be coming back to do another session with us. We can’t wait!

Fun Facts

'Did you know that you might be drinking the same water that a dinosaur drank!' (Aubree)

'Water never disappears. Everyone needs to drink water so they stay alive. If it did not rain farms and the environment would not grow.' (Rocky)

'Coliban Water is the place that helps water in the pipes underground. They clean the water and then the water comes to our house and school. We drink the water and they do it again and again.' (Mabel)

'There’s pipes underground because they send the water to our school and home and town. If the pipes were above the ground, you might trip and the pipe would crack so we wouldn’t have any water.' (Otis)
