Students have hit the ground running out in the school garden. After the holidays there is always a lot of maintenance to be done!

During Term 2 in Science the  focus is on Chemical Science. In the units of work, students will explore everyday materials and their properties. From investigating the composition of objects found within the school environment to understanding how materials are designed to withstand outdoor conditions, students will develop a keen eye for observing and analysing the world around them. Through hands-on activities, such as mixing solids and liquids to create new concoctions and investigate how heat can transform solids into liquids (and vice versa), students will deepen their understanding of fundamental chemical concepts. By the end of the unit, they'll feel like seasoned detectives, equipped with the skills to solve the mysteries of chemical changes and apply their newfound knowledge to real-world scenarios.
