Students will explore Bowden's masterpieces, through his use of colour, texture, and imagination. From whimsical landscapes to fantastical creatures, students will immerse themselves in Bowden's art, sparking their own creativity and imagination. Guided by Bowden's techniques, students will experiment with various mediums and styles, to create their own imaginative artworks.
The Grade 3/4 students are learning about John Brack's distinctive style with the mastery of watercolour painting techniques. Inspired by Brack's meticulous attention to detail and his portrayal of everyday life, we aim to infuse our own creations with elements of his renowned aesthetic. From his precise lines to his muted color palette, we're exploring the elements that define Brack's signature style and incorporating them into our own art. As we learn about watercolour painting, we're focusing our skills in layering, blending, and shading to capture the essence of our self-portraits with depth and emotion.
Our 5/6 students will be looking expressionism. Our investigation centres around the renowned artist Edvard Munch and his iconic masterpiece, "The Scream."
