Year 12: Change of Preference period (CoP)
Year 12 students are encouraged to book in a course counselling session with myself once ATAR & Results are released on 11th December. Students can book by sending me a Teams message and can either come and see me or chat with me via TEAMS. I am available on Monday 11th December, Tuesday 12th December and Wednesday 13th December from 8.30am-4.30pm and Friday 22nd December 10am-12midday via TEAMS only.
Below are important dates to take a note of:
- ATAR results released 11th December, 7am
- 13th December, 4pm Change of Preference (CoP) closes
- 21st December, 2pm - course offer release (NB: not all courses make offers in this round)
- 21st December, 2pm - 22nd December, 4pm Change of Preference opens for January round offer period

What does this all mean, I hear you ask?
Well, from the 11th December until 13th December, 4pm students have an opportunity to make changes to their course preferences prior to the 21st December course offer round. VTAC will close as of 13th December 4pm and students will not be able to make any further changes so they need to make sure that they have their courses in the order THEY want and not what they think they may get into!
VTAC will re-open again on 21s December, 2pm and close 22nd December, 4pm for those students who wish to make any further adjustments to their course preferences. This is in preparation for course round offers that will take place in January 2024.
During the CoP periods, many institutions run events and hotlines to assist students. Attached is a list of the events/hotlines offered by institutions. For any updates on this information students are asked to check tertiary websites.
