Mini Vinnies

Our Mini Vinnies group meet weekly to work on projects to assist those in need. We discuss social justice issues by 'seeing - awareness', 'thinking - making connections' and 'doing - community service'. Keep an eye out in the newsletter for our next activity.

Confirmation

This sacrament is the final step in the sacraments of initiation and the candidates will affirm their faith by renewing their baptismal promises.

Today students spent the day preparing and reflecting at the church before Sunday. Preparing for confirmation is a big commitment, well done candidates!

We pray for these students this weekend as they are filled with the Holy Spirit.

Joint Parish Multicultural Festival

Last weekend the whole parish of St Francis Xavier and St John's came together to celebrate cultural diversity in our community. This congregation included staff and students across the three schools of St Francis Xavier, St John's and St Augustine's.

Parishioners of different cultures participated in reading and singing at Mass in different languages The students from the schools sang while communion was given.

After Mass, the community shared in cultural meals and parishioners shared cultural performances. Thankyou to Fr Chinua and Fr Jude for organising and leading this event.
