Prefects 2024

At last Thursday’s assembly, it was an honour to announce the Prefects for 2024.

Heatherton Christian College (Christway College in 2024) rejoices in the gifts and talents of students and firmly believes that all students can make a positive difference through their words and actions, not only in the future but each day. Our intention is to raise students who seek to be people of Godly influence first and foremost, whose heart is to serve others and who will “think and act as leaders”, whether they have an official title or not, so that they are equipped for a life of service as ambassadors of Jesus Christ.

We also believe God gifts Christian communities with leaders who help equip that community to become stronger in faith, unity and maturity. Student leaders at Christway College will be ones recognised as ready to step into such a role, and along with College staff and leaders, will offer their gifts and efforts to lead and see Christway College: Growing in Christ, Striving for Excellence and Influencing the World.

As these students accept the responsibilities of prefects, it is noted that prefect does not equal “already perfect” but a willingness to offer what they have and to seek to grow into the descriptions above of a Christway student leader.

The process of selecting College captains and prefect portfolios will also occur during our kickstart weeks (Weeks 8-10), with College captains planned to be announced in the last week of school.
