SHARE THE DIGNITY

We are collecting for the charity Share the Dignity again this year. It is our 6th year supporting the It's in the bag campaign at BHNPSK and a charity that I feel passionate about supporting.

Educators are putting together handbags for women in need and we would be grateful if you could also support this charity. If you would like to participate, please bring your filled handbag (see below) before 17th November. Last year we donated 30 bags. Let’s aim for even more this year.

We have three types of bags we collect! Teenager, Adult and Mum & Bub. More info can be found on Share the dignity website.

https://www.sharethedignity.org.au/itsinthebag

Our most popular is an adult bag. These bags are distributed to adults living in crisis from those experiencing homelessness, living in domestic violence refuges, indigenous communities and those doing it tough. Mum& Bub bags and teenager bags can also be donated.

If you're putting an adult bag together, please include: Shampoo & Conditioner-full size if it fits Toothbrush & Toothpaste Body wash or Soap Roll-on Deodorant (no aerosol) Sealed packets of pads and tampons

We also recommend you add a couple of additional luxuries that an adult might need or that will make her feel special. eg jewellery, scarf, notebook, hand cream, lip balm, make up etc and write a nice card to go inside the bag.

Bags are due at kinder by 17th November. The bags are then donated to charities across the country to distribute to those in need ready for Christmas. Many have told us this is the only Christmas gift they receive.
