Principal's Report

Dear families,

Congratulations to Rachael J, Teagan R and Ava G for representing our school at the Regional Athletics in Albury last Friday. They all came 5th in their event which a fantastic acheivement.

The works will cease this weekend. Thank you for your support with this.

We are all very excited for our school excursion tomorrow. Attached is the timetable for the zoo tomorrow. Parent helpers should have received a message with their bus allocation.  We will be leaving at 7:45am sharp so please be at school by 7:30am. We also ask that if you or your child are no longer attending we be informed on Xuno by 7:30am to ensure a prompt departure.  Parents that are driving can meet us at the gate.  We expect to arrive home at 5:30pm but will keep you updated via Xuno. Please ensure lots of snacks are packed as it will be a long day. The weather will be warm so ensure a water bottle is packed. If you have changed your plans or not advised the school you are attending, please let us know.

Lindsay Muston visited our school yesterday and completed hanging the next boxes around our school boundary. The variety of boxes are Rosella, Kookaburra, Sugar Glider and Pardelote. We plan to monitor these boxes annually with Lindsay and Allison from River Connect, who also assisted with this project. We have four remaining to be installed by Parks at Daunts Bend.

Our Book Fair continues next week and ends on the 24th of October. Books can be purchased between 8.30am and 9am in the morning and 3.15pm-3.45pm in the afternoon. Students love having the opportunity to browse through the selection of books. All proceeds from the Fair go directly towards purchasing books for our take home reading program. Eftpos facilities are available.

Wednesday 25th October is the date set for our Diversity Dash. Keep this date free, it is sure to be a fun filled day. The Dash starts at 1.30pm. Our House Captains are designing the course so that it will be more exciting. Parents and Friends will be selling Hot Dogs on this day for $3.50; orders can be placed via QKR.  Grade 5/6 students will be selling Zooper Doopers on the day fo $1.00.  Families are welcome to come along and enjoy the fun. Please complete the permission form on Xuno.

Due to water issues on the oval, we will have a revised course which may see us relocate to the community oval.

Have a lovely weekend,

Regards Heather
