Visual Arts

Term 4 - Week 8

Euroa Show - After a massive team effort to get our Earth completed, I thought I would show you the photos of the process. We thank Ange Berry for her help. Ange answered my call to create a dome shape out of recycled materials. I think she could feel my desperation!! Thank Ange if you see her.

Foundation - The Foundation students started to learn how to sew. This has been 'easy as' to some students and 'too hard' for others. Sewing is a great way for some students to shine and also a good meditative activity. We will keep persisting and hopefully send some practise pieces home.

Year 1 and 2 - The Year 1 and 2 students have been practising their sewing. They are working on a Christmas Tree piece to take home for the festive season. The students are really getting the hang of sewing and are showing great persistence.

Year 3 and 4 - Year 3 and 4 have been making Radial and Modular sculptures and talking about what makes something radial. They have enjoyed the challenges of creating modular sculptures and have worked together to overcome problems.  They have now moved on to sewing and they have been creating a Christmas ornament to hang on the tree. Stay tuned!

Year 5 and 6 - The Year 6 students have finished their mosaic pieces for their Legacy piece and it's ready to go up! If only the rain would stop!!

The Year 5 students (with the help of some Year sixes) have almost finished their Year 5 project. They have shown initiative and created some wonderful pieces of art. We are working out a way to put them in a silent auction. We will be in touch with how that will work.

RECYCLED MATERIALS - We don't require any more cardboard rolls. Thanks to those who took the time to donate. If you find some interesting bits and pieces that might be good for art, please email me. We are always on the look out for materials we can recycle.

Have a great week.
