Principal's Report

D. Donatiello

Welcome Back

Term 4 is an exciting time, particularly as the end of the year is fast approaching. There will be lots of preparation for 2025, including Kinder Orientation visits and Year 6 Orientation. There will be end of year assemblies, Preschool and Year 6 Graduations, Year 6 Farewell, Fun Day and end of year reports. Please check the school calendar regularly so that you are informed about these events. We will send out reminders through the Sentral Parent Portal as well.

World Teachers' Day

On Friday 25 October it's World Teachers'  Day. Our teachers play a vital role in creating an atmosphere for students of all ages, to learn and grow. The work that they do each day in helping our students to learn and flourish.

I want to thank all of our teachers for the wonderful work they do for the students of St Johns Park Public School. I encourage students and families to show your appreciation with a message or a simple 'thank you.'

School Vision

Our school is conducting a situational analysis as part of the process of creating our next Strategic Improvement Plan (SIP) for 2025-2028. We are an inclusive school and would like the voices of students and families represented, as well as the staff. We will be having focused conversations with students, families and staff to determine our next steps for the SIP. If you would like to be part of this process, please email or phone the office and I will make contact with you in the coming weeks.

Below is the School Vision which was created for the current Strategic Improvement Plan.

'We, the community of St Johns Park Public School, are committed to nurturing happy, respectful, lifelong learners within an inclusive, safe and collaborative environment.  With a focus on continuous improvement, we strive for excellence in learning, teaching and leading where all individuals are valued and achieve their full potential.'

Further on in this newsletter is a page for parents and families to provide feedback about our Vision. I encouraged you to click on the link.

Road Safety

I am pleading with parents to think about the safety of children when picking their child up on Sandringham St. I am concerned that parents encourage children to cross the road in the wrong place either calling them to cross between cars or on the corner outside gate 3. PLEASE use the pedestrian crossing as there is an executive member of staff on duty every day.

Thank you to the many students and families that do cross the road in the right place.
