International Student Update

Special School Tour with the visitor from Vietnam

On 25 of October, Mr Chinh Do, the Head of Hanoi Office for SET visited our College. Assistant principal Tracey Bastin warmly welcomed our guest and conducted a tour of our school while discussing the possibility of sister school partnerships. It was a very productive day and we hope to welcome more international visitors to our school.

2024 Year 12 Graduation Assembly

On 22 October, we came together to celebrate the graduation of our Year 12 students. We are so excited to have 5 international students who will graduate this year. They are Roy, Zac, Trevor (all from China), Naoto (Japan) and Cheryl (Indonesia). Naoto and Roy arrived in Melbourne in July 2019 and they both went through the hardest Covid lockdown periods. 

Roy has lived with his homestay host family for 5 years and has really enjoyed becoming part of their family. We thank the students' parents, our host families and our teachers for all the support and guidance provided to students in their journey. We are so proud of all these students as we have witnessed their growth from young, quiet and shy teens into remarkable, persevering, and knowledgeable young adults. It is always bittersweet to say goodbye to our international students but we wish them all the best - the world is your oyster!
