Principal's Message

Members of the NSW Teachers Federation across the state have been asked to attend an in-person meeting by the union to vote on a recommendation to its members. While the meeting itself is being held at 8:30am on Monday 28 October, schools should expect teachers to be on duty between 9:30am and 10:00am, dependent on travel, to allow time for the subsequent debate and vote. There may be some impact on planned school activities at our school. There will be enough staff to supervise students at Eglinton for this period of time.

School Uniform - As most of you would be aware, we are undergoing a review of our school uniform and looking to outsource the uniform. The uniform will be available through Intersport 7 days a week. This is option is not available yet. We will let you know when it will be. 

A parent information session was held  on Tuesday night and the P&C were at the gate on Wednesday at drop off and in the playground at pick up time for everyone to be able to have a look at the uniform. Please be assured that the unform is not changing, we are only changing suppliers. The only thing that will be a little different are the skorts, and we have added a soft cell jacket for winter. Everything else remains the same. There is not a great difference in the pricing. 

You are not expected to go out and buy new uniforms. We would also like some feedback about the girls Tartan skirts and whether you support the change of supplier. Please follow the QR code to answer a couple of short questions. 

School Hats - Thank you to all the parents who have made sure the students have a school wide brimmed hat. We have 99% of children wearing hats in the playground which is fabulous. School hats are available to purchase from the school office for $15.00. 

2025 Planning - Planning is underway for 2025. If you have any preferences or concerns for your child for 2025, please put them in writing and email them to eglinton-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au. These will be passed onto me, and I will take them into account when we are developing classes for 2025. These preferences are not guaranteed.
