FARM

Shearing and Wool-handling

We are very fortunate to have had Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) trainers as well as past students at the College to assist with shearing and wool handling training. Students have done an excellent job working as a team and have learnt lifelong skills along the way. Keep up the great work everyone.

Hats on Farm

A reminder to all students that in Term 4 you require a board brim hat when working on the College farm. Students are required to wear an Akubra or College bucket hat. Caps are not permitted.

Year 11 Farm Focus Students

A reminder to all Year 11 Farm Focus students and parents that the AusChem and Certificate III in Advanced Wool Handling courses are scheduled to be run at the College in Week 7. Please note that this is after the official last day for Year 11 students and is during Invitation Week. These courses will provide students with credit towards their Certificate III in Agriculture in 2025, ultimately reducing their workloads in Year 12.

Weekend Stock

Year 10 and 11 students are encouraged to take special note of the Weekend Stock Roster, as their attendance is required for their Farm learning program.

If a student cannot attend their weekend stock duty, it is their responsibility to arrange a swap with another student at least one week before their rostered weekend. Students who fail to complete their weekend stock duty will be rostered for additional weekend duties.

Repeated non-attendance will result in a loss of Good Standing until weekend stock duties have been fulfilled.
