Fundraising Update
By Helen Hassiotis
As we continue to celebrate the successes of the 2024 school year, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your unwavering support and ongoing fundraising efforts. Your dedication has made a significant impact, and we couldn’t be more grateful. In this edition, we’re excited to share important updates about two of our key fundraising initiatives: the Container Deposit Scheme and the Pancake Parlour School Rewards Program.
The Container Deposit Scheme is a fantastic initiative to promote sustainability and raise funds for our new Year 6 play area. This includes a gaga pit, seating and landscaping, and new slides!
What Can You Do to Participate?
Option A: School Collection
Start collecting eligible containers: Please do not crush the containers, as we need to scan the barcode!
Transport your containers: We suggest putting them in a bag or box for easy transport to school.
Drop-off at school: When you arrive at school, please place the entire bag or container in the large blue bins located near the Science Shed.
Monthly recycling: We will recycle the collected containers each month.
Option B: Recycling Depot
Collect eligible containers: Please do not crush the containers.
Transport your containers: Use a bag or box for transport.
Donate at the depot: Insert your eligible containers into the machine and select the donation point for Glen Waverley Primary School.
Donation Partner ID: C2000010640.
I am pleased to say that as a school community you have contributed $147.10.
We are delighted to announce that our school is currently in 5th place with 2,354 points in the Pancake Parlour School Rewards Program!
Here’s how you can help us climb to the top:
Download the App: Start by downloading the Pancake Parlour Rewards app and selecting "School Rewards."
Select Our School: Choose Glen Waverley Primary from the list and begin scanning barcodes to earn points.
Web Registration Option: If you prefer, visit School Rewards, click on "Join a School," select our school, and fill out the online form to start earning points in-store.
The school that earns the most points for 2024, will win an amazing grand prize of $5,000! Second and third places will receive $3,000 and $1,000, respectively.
Please refer to the attached brochure for more information.
