Principal's Report
Community Connection
It’s been a community focussed fortnight at ACPS with our Annual Trivia Night being a great night for parents and friends to come together in some friendly competition, plenty of laughter and just an all round great night. A huge thank you to our School Council, all of the additional parents involved in the organising committee, Jim Sill our MC and Glenn McPherson and the rest of the fabulous band Fusion. This event doubles as not only a great chance to connect but also a major fundraiser for ACPS. Thank you to all of the businesses and people that donated to our auction, along with all of our generous bidders who purchased the items to raise money for the school.
Thank you to:

Last week, our Prep, Grade One and Grade Two classes welcomed their grandparents and special guests to the school for the Prep - Grade 2 Grandparents Morning Tea. The morning began with what can only be described as one of the cutest singing, dancing and instrument performances that I have ever seen. Following the performance, grandparents joined the children in their classrooms for special activities, allowing them to share in their learning experiences. The morning then concluded with a morning tea, providing an opportunity to chat and enjoy each other’s company. Thank you to Mrs Callaway, Ms Zanatta, Miss Buzzini and Mrs Bailey for all of their work putting this morning together. A huge thank you also to all of the Grandparents, Parents and Special Friends that were able to attend.
We also celebrated our Teachers last Friday for World Teachers Day. Teachers each received a reward normally reserved for our students, a 'Ticket to Thrive' and were able to select from a range of reward options. Some opted for their students to throw them a party, others for a free coffee and some for a free carwash from their class. Thank you teachers for all you do at ACPS. We are so lucky to have such a great team of talented, caring and dedicated educators leading our students everyday.
EMR Athletics Success
We are incredibly proud of our three students who competed at the Eastern Metropolitan Region Athletics. It is a significant achievement to make this level of competition. Grace represented ACPS in the 1500m and 800m events, finishing 1st and 2nd respectively, again demonstrating her great skill and aptitude for distance running. Her hard work paid off, and she will now be moving on to compete at the State Athletics. Violet gave an impressive performance in Shot Put, showcasing her strength and technique to finish an overall 4th. Meanwhile, Aisling ran strongly in a very fast 200m race just missing out on a place in the final. Congratulations girls on your outstanding efforts!

BAKE A WISH FUNDRAISER!!
ACPS has signed up to Bake A Wish, a Make-A-Wish fundraiser in which a piece of cake is literally donated to help make wishes come true for seriously ill children.
We would love you to come along and donate to Make-A-Wish in return for some tasty treats. They’ll taste even more delicious knowing that you’re helping make a difference to sick kids.
Every Monday, in November students will hold a Bake a Wish stall. Each week, the Bake a Wish treats will be supplied by a different level.
Assembly will finish around 3:20 and students will be able to purchase the baked goods.
Our goal is to raise at least $500.
On your assigned date could you kindly support your child to bake a school-friendly treat and drop it at the office before school.
Year 5/6 – 11th November
Year 3/4 – 18th November
Year P-2 - 25th November

If you can’t make it, you can also donate to our Bake a Wish at :
