Principal's Update
St Joseph's is a child-safe school.

A good day begins with a good beginning, but rushed and frantic mornings are often the norm on school days. Out of necessity, most of us parents are focused on meeting our child’s physical needs in the morning, making sure they eat a good breakfast, pack their bag, get their shoes on etc. - no small task! But what if we can prepare our kids for the day mentally and emotionally as well? With a little planning, it is possible to create a drastically different kind of morning, one that encompasses your child’s physical and emotional needs and provides a happy, peaceful start.
Below, are the 5 effective strategies that can help your family to not only have a better morning but also develop and strengthen a growth mindset:-
1. Reconnect
2. Create a Routine
3. Do Affirmations
4. Set the Stage
5. Practice and Rehearse
Tomorrow (Friday) we celebrate World Teachers’ Day, a day to recognise how our teachers at St Joseph’s are transforming education and making a difference to the lives of our students. I hope you will join me in celebrating and acknowledging their positive contributions to our school.
Well done to our Year 3/4 campers who participated with great enthusiasm at the Campaspe Camp last week. Congratulations also to our students who represented St Joseph’s and finished second at the Tennis on Monday.
We understand how congested traffic can become directly before and especially after school. I ask all school families to be mindful of others and follow basic traffic rules for the safety of everyone including double parking which is illegal on any street. We have had to contact local Police asking them to monitor the situation during pickup times.
Kind Regards,
Peter Teggelove, Principal
Statements for school fees & levies are emailed to families. Please check your statement and contact the office if you have any questions.
It is expected that all school fees and levies are finalised each year by the start of December.
The school provides a variety of options for payment of school fees and levies - in full at the start of the school year / part payment at the start of each school term / by direct debit – weekly, fortnightly, or monthly / by direct payment into the school bank account or by regular payments at the school office by cash or EFTPOS. You can even pay over the phone if you wish.
It is important that payment of school fees and levies are honoured and prompt payment is much appreciated. However, if you are experiencing difficulty meeting your obligation for payment, please contact the school to arrange a time to discuss this with the Principal, Mr Peter Teggelove.
