Lest we forget

Year 11 Hospitality dazzles DPs across the Cowpasture Network

We would like to acknowledge Ms. Marando and Mr. Colussi for their thoughtful organisation of the exquisite catering for the DP Cowpasture Network Meeting hosted by Cecil Hills High School. The care and attention to detail in every dish were evident, and their efforts truly elevated the occasion.

However, what truly touched us all was the remarkable display of pride and respect shown by the students. As they served, prepared, and presented the food, it was clear that they understood the significance of the event and the honour in contributing to such a meaningful gathering.

Their professionalism and dedication spoke volumes, reflecting the values of excellence and respect that we hold dear. It was a moment that exemplified not just skill, but heart—a testament to the spirit of service and community. Thank you once again for making this gathering an unforgettable experience!

Remembrance Day Ceremony

I would like to express my gratitude to Mr Chatwin and the entire History Faculty for their dedication in organising such a beautiful Remembrance Day Ceremony, which commemorates the end of The Great War. Their efforts allowed us all to pause, reflect, and honour the sacrifices made by so many servicemen and women over the course of our country's rich history.

A special thank you to Mr Brad Hulls, a former Military Officer in the Australian Defence Force, for his moving address to our Year 7 students. His words, filled with wisdom and reverence, left a lasting impression on everyone in the Cecil community about the significance of this day. We thank Mr Hulls for continuing to contribute to our students' education about the past by willingly sharing his own experiences as a veteran. We are proud of have him as a part of the Cecil Family.

The students, with remarkable respect and attentiveness, were an exemplary audience, embodying the very spirit of the day. It is a moment like this that reminds us of the importance of remembering, reflecting, and carrying forward the lessons of courage, sacrifice, and unity that we honour on this day every single year. Thank you again to all who contributed to making this day one we will never forget.

Of course, we extend our thanks to our amazing IT team for streaming the ceremony to the extended school community.
