From 'Integrated' to 'STEAM' – A New Name for What We Learn 

As you would be aware, APS has a learning area we call ‘Integrated.’ This includes Science, Technology, Civics, History, Geography, English, basically everything! As a school we have decided to change the name of this learning area from Integrated to STEAM. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. We believe that STEAM better reflects the diverse and amazing learning we do at APS. You may be wondering ‘but we already do Art as a specialist.’ The A in STEAM stands for arts but captures our History, Geography, Civics, Graphic Design, Economics, and elements of Visual Arts. Stay tuned for more updates and information about STEAM at APS!
