Selamat siang,
This week we wrote our Camp Recounts to reflect on the amazing experience we had at Portsea. The students also began planning our persuasive speeches using the TEEL structure for our public speaking competition coming up. In maths, we've been measuring the area and perimeter of regular, irregular and composite shapes. Students have enjoyed investigating different objects in and around the classroom to find a specific perimeter.
For Guided Inquiry, we had Teagan Ma, a special guest speaker and parent come in to share about her work as an Access Consultant. Teagan has worked on many buildings and projects to make sure they are safe, accessible and universally designed. The students learned a lot of practical ways that universal design can be implemented and we are grateful that Teagan was able to come in and share her expertise.
We also wanted to thank all the parents who kindly volunteered their time to help support the students and teachers at Portsea Camp last week! We are very appreciative to everyone who took time out of their schedule to come down to Portsea.
Kathy, Ros, Julia, Mandy, Suzie and Emily
