Three Year Old Kinder News

Our Kinder sessions have absolutely flown by this week! The rainy weather invited some wonderful outdoor play early in the week. The rain inspired sensory investigations as the children incorporated dirt, orange blossoms, sand and other natural substances with puddle water. Indoors, we have been investigating shape and pattern using loose parts and have been inspired by the intricate patterns of rangoli. 

Four Year Old Kinder News

We hope everyone had a great first orientation session at MPRPS this week! Please let your child’s teacher know if they are attending sessions at their schools during session times. 

This week the children have loved being out in the junior school playground. The Marram Group explored making crystals and observed small growth! We discussed Diwali and how families celebrated. We created some sand artworks after looking at some beautiful and colourful sand and flower rangolis. The Gawarn Group explored the Zones of Regulation, learning to recognise and connect our feelings with different coloured zones. The children also enjoyed a sensory experience making floral perfume, collecting flower petals from our yard and mixing them with water to create their own beautiful scents.

• Please put on sunscreen in the morning before the session starts, we have a tub at the sign in table
