We look forward to welcoming all students back to school on Friday 24 October.

Updated bus information page

We're pleased to announce the launch of a new webpage dedicated to the College's Junior School bus service. You can view it on our website via this link

The new webpage has been designed with both current and prospective bus users in mind, making it easier to access key information such as timetables, farers and booking details.

The Junior School bus service is currently available to St Mary's College students in Kinder to Year 6 living on Hobart's Eastern Shore. The bus operates across designated stops including Sorell (via Midway Point), Cambridge Park, Acton, Lauderdale, Oakdowns, Howrah and Eastlands.

If you have any questions regarding the bus service, please contact Utility Officer – Bus Operations, Mr Peter O'Driscoll, at transport@smc.tas.edu.au

The St Mary's College Chess Club meets every Friday after school in the Student Resource Centre (Library) from 3.15pm–4.15pm. We warmly welcome new players to join us!

The club is open to all skill levels, and sign-ups are available online at https://blacksquarechess.com/

You're invited to Bloom

We warmly invite students, families and the wider St Mary's College community to experience Bloom 2025.

Join us on Wednesday 26 November for an inspiring spring afternoon on the College Green, where the Senior School Art Exhibition, Sustainability Fair and Christmas Makers' Market come together in a colourful and collaborative celebration of student creativity, innovation and community spirit.

Event highlights include student showcases from Years 7–12 in Visual Arts, Design and Technology, along with live outdoor performances in Music, Drama and Dance. Enjoy student-led fashion shows, sustainability pop-ups and a range of interactive tours and hands-on workshops.

Guests can also take part in Junior School craft activities, hunt for hidden gems at secondhand stalls, browse handmade gifts and festive seasonal treats, and indulge in delicious offerings from food vans, refreshments and more.

All funds raised will directly support our College garden.

Come and support our students as they proudly share their work with the community. Discover how they're planting seeds of change, cultivating beauty, flourishing in the arts and blooming together in more ways than one!

Mark your calendars and bring your loved ones. Entry is free. Register online here.

Junior School families attending the event are kindly asked to supervise their children from 3.15pm onwards.
