Highvale Celebrates Positive Behaviour with SWPBS
We’re excited to share how Highvale has been recognising and celebrating the great choices our students make every day through the School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) framework.
SWPBS is a framework that helps schools create a positive and supportive learning environment. It improves student behaviour, wellbeing, and academic outcomes by focusing on prevention and making the best use of school resources.
Our green chronicles system provides a great opportunity to acknowledge students that demonstrate our college values. Term 3 saw some fantastic rewards. Students who collected 10 or more green chronicles were treated to a pizza party, certificates and the chance to bring a friend to join the celebration.
Our green chronicles have been integrated into our House points system. Each green chronicle received contributes to points for that student’s House. Congratulations to Bunjil House for taking out the win this year! Bunjil enjoyed a free dress day and received tokens to claim a free Zooper Dooper.
Well done to all the students that contributed. Green chronicles earned in Term 4 will continue to contribute to House points for next year, so there’s still an opportunity for students to help their House win.
We’re proud of the positive culture growing at Highvale and our students modeling our college values.
