Welcome to everyone at the commencement of Term 4.

Induction of the Class of 2026

During the recent break, I spent time preparing my childhood home for sale – a task filled with nostalgia as I uncovered mementos, photos and keepsakes.  Each item told a story of a moment once treasured; and I was reminded how easy it is to equate success with visible achievements – badges, trophies and titles.

Yet, in my view, true success lies not in what we collect but in who we become and how we serve others.

As the Class of 2026 steps into leadership, the ties and compendiums they received last week symbolise responsibility not status.  Genuine leadership is grounded in empathy, humility and the quiet acts of kindness that rarely make it into photo albums but shape character most deeply.  May these students use their senior year to shift their focus from what can they get to what can they give, leaving a legacy not of achievements but of impact.

HSC Examinations

Our Class of 2025 have, of course, been sitting their HSC Examinations over the past two weeks. In speaking with students as they emerge from each paper, it’s been clear that they have felt both well prepared and well supported throughout the process.  This is a reflection of their diligent preparation, the support of their families, and the commitment of our teachers.  We look forward to the final exams being completed and to celebrating what will no doubt be excellent results from this talented cohort.
