FAMILY VIOLENCE:  BYSTANDER TRAINING WORKSHOP

WHAT CAN WE DO?

You sense something isn’t ok.  You see or hear something that concerns you.  Now what?

Someone near you may be experiencing family violence.  You want to help but you are not sure how.  What should you say?  What should you do?

As part of our parish focus on family violence, the Justice Action Group is offering a workshop on responding to family violence.  It aims to develop participants’ ability to:

  • Understand the nature and dynamics of family violence
  • Recognise the signs of family violence
  • Respond well to people experiencing violence
  • Respond well to people using violence

The workshop will be held on Saturday 25 October, 2-4pm at St Louis’ church foyer, followed by a cuppa.  Places are limited.
