VOCABULARY

Persuasive text: A piece of writing that aims to convince the reader of a certain point of view.

Argument: A set of reasons given in support of an idea.

Do you think pets should be allowed at school? 

• Write three reasons that will convince someone to support your point of view.

Over the school break, you may like to practice your persuasive skills. When asking for something or suggesting ideas, think of three (or more) reasons to convince someone why they should agree with you.
