Presentation Day - This Thursday

Our Presentation Day Assembly begins at 9:30am, under the Cola, which is situated at the end of the library building. Please sign in using the paper sign on sheet as you arrive through the front gate and be seated by 9:30am to allow us to begin on time as high temperatures are predicted. Parents and Y6 students are invited to morning tea near the canteen at the end of the assembly. 

It's That Time of Year Again!

Christmas Week

Next week is Christmas Week for our Students.  Students will take home their books at the end of this week in readiness for Christmas themed learning and creating in Week 10. 

This week we need to:

Book Parent/ Teacher interviews through Compass. 3 Way Parent Student Teacher Conferences

Please follow these instructions to book your interview time with your child's teacher:

• Open in Browser
• From the Compass homepage click the hamburger menu button at the top left (three horizontal bars) and then select 'Conferences'.  
• To start the booking process click on the 2023 Term 4, Parent/Teacher Conferences. 
• Once you've selected the cycle you will first be shown a popup which contains information from the school. Read the message and click 'Okay' at the bottom to continue.   
• Select your student to proceed with booking. 
• Select your child's teacher from the Right Hand Side of the screen. 
• To book in just click an available (white) timeslot.
• This will open a booking popup for you to confirm. 
• Confirm booking

Bookings are made more easily from a device other than a phone.  If you are having trouble making a booking, please call Kate in the front office and she will be able to help you. 

Week 9

Tuesday:  Parent/Teacher Conferences available K-6.  

Wednesday:  Swimming Session Werris Creek 10:30 - 12:30pm

Thursday:  Presentation Day 9:30am - all invited and encouraged to attend

Friday:  Last day for Kinder Readiness class

                 End of year Mass 9:30am

                 St Joey's Got Talent at 11.30am in the church hall.

Week 10

Monday: Year 6 and families to attend Graduation Dinner at the RSL Club at 5:30PM

Tuesday:  Parent/Teacher Conferences available - but not for Kindy. 

Wednesday:  Swimming Session Werris Creek 10:30 - 12:30pm

Thursday:  Y6 Big Day Out

Friday:  Last Day for Students and Staff

2024

February 1st:  Y1-6 School students return

February 5th:  Kindergarten students begin

February 7th:  Swimming Session Werris Creek

February 8th:  Swimming Carnival Werris Creek (during the school day)

Library

As we approach the end of the 2023 year we would really appreciate it if you could make sure that all library books are returned to school by the end of THIS WEEK.  Overdue notices went home again yesterday so please can check to see if you have any books to send in.  It is often a scramble to have books returned at the last minute so we are getting in a little earlier this year. 

Compass

Please remember that if you change your phone number or address you need to update this either through your Compass portal or we can do it for you if you send an email to quiadmin@arm.catholic.edu.au

Attendance

This is a timely reminder to parents that it is a legal requirement that absences are explained within 7 days on Compass.  It really can't be any easier than to log onto the app and put in an explanation.  Paper notes will be sent out once again to be filled in and returned to school this week as we try to reign in our outstanding absences.

Visitors

Please remember to sign in and out of the school through the kiosk (or paper sheet if we are having an event) everytime you come through the front gate. It is imperative that we have a record of everyone who is on the school grounds at all times - this is to keep children safe and in case of any emergency that may arise.

Working With Children Checks

If you are involved in volunteering here at school in any capacity you need to have a current WWCC.  These are available through Service NSW and are free for the volunteers check.  We are sending out sms messages to our current parents whose WWCC is expired or due to expire soon. If you have not sent through your details to the office we would very much appreciate it if you could make it a priority. 

School Fees

Term 4 school fees have been processed by the Catholic Schools Office, Armidale.  In Compass through the Parent Portal you can see all your transactions on your account. Keep up to date with your school fees by setting up regular payments through BPAY.
