A Message from

Hannah & Keir

We would like to acknowledge and honour the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which our school stands. We pay our respects to all First Nations elders, past present, and emerging.

After many months of workshopping options and developing various models, we were super excited to share our 2024 teaching teams with you today. Unfortunately, as can often happen, we have had some last minute changes that have been out of our control. This means that we have had to think and plan for just a little bit longer and we now hope to communicate the 2024 teams with you via Sentral in the next few days.

Hats

Just a reminder that all students should be wearing a sun smart hat when they are playing outside, or have a class that is taking place outside. Sun smart hats are those which have a full brim all the way around, or have a Legionnaires flap at the back of a cap so that ears and neck are protected from the sun. Students without hats during break times will be asked by the Yard Duty teacher to play in an undercover area. Hats can be purchased from the front office for $15 for a wide brimmed hat and $10 for a Legionnaires cap. Broad brimmed hats that come with a cord or strap to tighten under the chin must have a quick release clip that can disengage when the cord is tangled or under pressure. Please check that your child’s hat has one of these clips.

Chicken Pox

Over the past week the school has been informed of various cases of Chickenpox within our student cohort; most of these cases have been in our Middle School. We  want to ask all families to exercise caution, as the chickenpox virus is circulating around Melbourne. If your child is sick for any reason, we ask that you keep them at home and contact the school office if your child comes down with anything infectious.
