2024 Student Courses
The 2024 course confirmations are very nearly finalised and the Year 8 students will receive their confirmations early next week.
A significant amount of work has gone into sorting out every student's individual course. In the vast majority of cases, the VCE students overwhelmingly get all their subject choices and the Year 9/10 students are lucky enough to get most of their first preferences, too. It is not an easy job, but thanks to the efforts of Mr Lewis and the Sub school teams, a lot of consultation has occurred with students to ensure that they can access a course that will engage and challenge them.
2024 Student Resource List
The 2024 Student Resource List is now available for parents/guardians to access through Campion, our book suppliers. Importantly, our Business Manager, Peter Cameron has negotiated a very favourable deal with Campion booksellers which includes:
- NO additional service fees
- FREE home delivery
- REDUCED COSTS on stationary items and some of our digital learning platform fees.
Campion will also make a generous DONATION to the school to support our teaching and learning program - Fantastic work Mr Cameron!
Campion is a One Stop Shop:
For your convenience, all payments for our digital learning platforms (Edrolo, Mathspace and Education Perfect) are listed on the Student Resource List and can to be purchased through Campion. This saves time and money.

Teacher Professional Practice Day
Today was a student free day so our teachers could take a Professional Practice Day. This is one of two days provided by the department in 2023 for teachers to focus on improving their professional knowledge, collaborate with colleagues and to plan and develop curriculum. This is a common day to minimise the disruption to learning that normally occurs when teachers take individual professional practice days during the term.
But Aren't You Winding Down Now?
This is such a common question that teachers and leaders are asked during Term 4 every year and I can categorically state that we are not winding down at all. Term 4 is one of the busiest times of the year and we will be working right up to the last day, organizing quality educational activities and program for all students, celebrating and recognising student achievements, engaging in assessment and reporting and of course preparing and planning programs for 2024.
Logging in & Using Maestro
It's great to see more and more families logging into Maestro to access really important information about their children's attendance, learning progress and achievement. If you want to know more about how to access and use Maestro, please refer to this comprehensive guide. Remember that the end of year reports will be released on Maestro for Years 7-10 students on the 15 of Dec and parents will need to log into both Compass and Maestro to access them.
