Art & Technology Showcase 

Congratulations to all the students who exhibited in this year's Art & Technology showcase. The breadth and variety of works highlighted the skill and effort of our students and exemplified the quality of the Art & Technology courses we offer. 

With a 'Mad Hatter' theme, the presentation evening was a vibrant celebration of the College's artistic diversity and it was great to watch students receive their Awards, display their work or present it on the red carpet, and participate in voting... and tasting! The Great Wantrina Bake-off was also a big hit again!

Parent Forum

On Wednesday evening, around 25 parents attended our Parent Forum. The focus topic for this forum was 'Communication' and discussions included Compass, Maestro, teacher communication, social media, Newsletters and even having more Parent Forums!

We began with some time for parents to socialise and meet other parents before having a very short presentation of data around communication in Victorian State Schools.  This was followed by an open forum where some really useful feedback was provided and parents were able to share their experiences, issues and suggestions. Topics raised included, a desire for consistent communication across all teaching staff, the meaning of coloured Compass posts and questions around emailing with teachers.

Afterwards, we broke off into groups with some parents watching a very short demonstration on Maestro whilst others continued to socialise or sought out members of the Principal team to discuss specific matters.

We will continue to hold Parent Forums every term next year, each with a focus topic. In the meantime, I encourage parents to get in touch if they have questions, feedback or concerns.
