Year 9 CLC Program

C.L.C - Year 9 Volunteers Complete 7th & Final Week of Giving Back To Community

Plaudits go out to our Year 9 CLC group who yesterday completed their final week of volunteering, capping off a massively successful seven weeks of "giving back" to the community.

Epic scenes down at Wangaratta West PS, where despite them having a school full of kindergarten students on prep transition, along with many of those parents, over a dozen of our kids were trusted to assist in classrooms and in the yard. The "Grounds Crew" also chipped in to help another group, heading out to the Industrial Estate to sort out a storage shed for the Night Shelter, where the Shelter stores sleeping gear provided to the  town's homeless "guests".

Wonderful photos and feedback again flooded in from the Iloura Aged Care Home and the Wangaratta Specialist School, our Make-A-Wish Foundation group worked tirelessly on their fundraising project, and the Inner Wheel cooking crew again showed empathy while making a heap of meals for The Care-van to provide to the Homeless and vulnerable.

Next week they begin preparing their PowerPoints which they will present to our Year 7 and 8 cohorts in the traditional bi-annual CLC Presentation Event at our school's PAC in a week's time.

Thank you to all of our CLC kids for their efforts over the last 7 weeks, and thank you of course to all of our generous community groups that hosted us.

It has been extremely powerful to say the least.
