Man Cave / Big Sister Experience

On Tuesday, August 26th, our Year 9 students had the incredible opportunity to participate in two highly engaging programs – the Big Sister Experience (for our girls) and The Man Cave (for our boys). Both programs are designed to support young people as they navigate the challenges of adolescence, providing a safe space to learn, reflect, and grow.

The Big Sister Experience focused on empowering young women to develop self-confidence, resilience, and positive relationships. Through interactive workshops and open discussions, students were encouraged to embrace their individuality, build each other up, and understand the importance of making healthy choices.

Meanwhile, The Man Cave provided our young men with a supportive environment to explore topics such as masculinity, identity, and emotional wellbeing. The program challenged stereotypes and encouraged honest conversations about respect, empathy, and looking after themselves and others.

Both experiences were incredibly well-received by students, who valued the chance to connect more deeply with themselves and their peers. Teachers observed how engaged and reflective our students were throughout the day, and the positive feedback highlighted just how meaningful the sessions were.

We are proud to provide opportunities like these that nurture our students’ personal growth and wellbeing.
