Grade 5/6 Rocketry

Late in 2024, Mullum Primary School was successful in recieving a Science and Technology grant for staff to undertake professional learning, recieve lesson material and resources to run a unit of work on Rocketry.  All Grade 5/6 students are learning how to the centre of mass and the centre of pressure that can make a rocket stable, sending it straight into space (or spinning off course if you don't get it right).  Using mathematics to create scaled drawings of their rockets, bringing it to life with hands-on construction.  Final flights are yet to happen, but check out the process in these photos
