We Spotlight Pei-Jun in this fortnight's newsletter.  Written by the PA President Priscilla, it serves to introduce a member of our PA to the Mullum community.

Read on for your information of the events, meetings and fundraising being held and how you can have your say at this years AGM.

SPOTLIGHT (by Priscilla) 

Introducing Pei-Jun (pictured) - Consistent and reliable, Pei-Jun is an active member of the Parents' Association.  Her gentle demeanour does not mean silence.  Pei-Jun's contributions at PA meetings and the Trivia subcommittee bring value to our discussions.

Current project 

Pei-Jun is part of the sub-committee formed to plan this year’s Trivia Night.  Her ideas on extra fundraising on the night are followed up with research to find out if the idea is viable.  Pei-Jun suggested tropical colours to be incorporated into the decorations for the night which has been incorporated in the promotional material. She has sourced donations to go towards the table decorations, another example how Pei-Jun follows through on her ideas. 

How to get involved in the Trivia night

1. Buy at ticket ($40) for a fun night out.  Either join a table or rally others to make a table of ten. Tickets at the office or via order form.

2. The sub-committee welcomes volunteers to assist with picking up fundraising prizes over the month of September.  

3. Help to set up from 5pm on the day (Saturday 11 October) will be needed.

PA MEETINGS

Wednesday 15 October is our last PA meeting before the AGM and we will celebrate with a meal (attendees to pay for themselves)  . We ask if you can please confirm that you will be attending the meeting by Tuesday 7th October with details of the evening and location to be confirmed. Annual General Meeting - 18 November 2025

With the AGM just around the corner, members can cast their vote for the President, Secretary and Treasurer.  That evening the new President will lead discussions of events and fundraisers for 2026 plus the goals for that year.  If you have ideas for Mullum or want to support the goals the PA sets for 2026, join the PA on the night of the AGM and have your say

FUNDRAISING

FATHER'S (Special Person) DAY STALL - Friday 5 September

PA member, Bao, will be co-ordinating the promotion, volunteers and the set up/pack down of the stands for this year's Father's Day Stall for students to buy presents for their fathers, fathering figures and special person in their life. Thank you to the volunteer who will be setting up tonight and serving tomorrow.

CHOCOLATE DRIVE

Thank you to all the families that purchassed a box of chocolates or lollies. For those who missed out ordering your chocolate or lolly box, there may be an opportunity to order before Christmas.  Details to come.

ON SALE NOW!

TRIVIA NIGHT - MAJOR FUNDRAISING EVENT

$40.  Get your tickets at the office or via the notice that went home to every family.

Saturday 11 October 7pm

Ringwood Bowls, 2-12 Loughnan Road, Ringwood

Bring your snacks, your gold coins and your knowledge of all things trivial, silly and smart.  If trivia is not your strong point, no problem at all, still come long as there will be games of chance and skill plus raffles on the night giving everyone the same odds of winning a prize to take home.  Digger and Tim and PA members Pei, Bruce, Bao and Priscilla are planning the Mullum Trivia Night, our major fundraiser for this year.  This will be a great evening out, only for the adults.

PAINT 'N' SIP - Thursda 18 September 

Come join us for a fun night of painting, sipping, and chatting with the wonderful Deanne Lawn, on Thursday 18 September. No experience needed – just bring yourself, something to drink and enjoy! We encourage parents of Foundation – Grade 2 to join us. $40- tickets available at the office.

Can’t make it? Or having students in the upper years -  don’t worry – the next Paint & Sip is on Thursday 23 October.
