R U OK? Day 2025

Thursday, 11th of September marked R U OK? Day- our national day of action dedicated to reminding us all that every day is the day to ask the simple question, “Are you okay?”

R U OK? Day was celebrated with a full week of meaningful activities designed to promote mental health awareness and encourage kindness, connection, and self-care among both students and staff.

The week kicked off in the school yard with cultural dances, giant chess games, and a DJ keeping the atmosphere lively.

Later in the week, the school stadium transformed into a hub of fun and engagement.

Students took part in various sports activities, while balloons, popcorn and fairy floss added a splash of colour and excitement.

We also welcomed representatives from Youth Services, who brought along valuable information, resources, and memorabilia to support our community’s mental health journey.

The week wrapped up with a sausage sizzle and karaoke in the auditorium. A big thanks to our wellbeing team and all the students who took part and made the week such a success.

Both on R U OK? Day and every day, it’s important to be brave and start a conversation when you notice someone might be having a tough time. Asking “Are you okay?” can make a real difference.
