Prayer for Families

Dear Lord,

Thank you for the gift of Mary, 

who showed us how to love and trust you. 

Help our family to be caring, kind, and ready to help others. 

May we follow Mary’s example 

in our words and actions each day. 

Amen.

Feast of the Assumption

Tomorrow is a special day in our Church calendar – the Feast of the Assumption. On this day, we remember Mary, the mother of Jesus, and the way she showed courage, kindness, and a heart for helping others.

Even though our school will be closed on this day, it’s still a wonderful opportunity for families to take a moment to reflect on the example Mary gives us. You might like to talk together about how we can show care, help others, and say “yes” to doing good things—just as Mary did.

If families would like to attend Mass for the Feast of the Assumption, St Andrew’s Parish will be celebrating at:

Feast Day Mass – Friday 15 August, 9:15 am & 7:00 pm

May this special day inspire us all to bring a little more kindness into our homes, our school, and our community.
