Celebrating our Diverse Culture

Brighton Secondary College was filled with connection, colour and cultural pride as we came together as a school community to celebrate International Week—a vibrant, week-long recognition of the rich cultural diversity that exists within our college.
Each day, we focused on a different continent, exploring its unique traditions, histories, languages, music and cuisines through a wide range of engaging activities. From interactive workshops, adding to the schools new cultural heritage map and student-led performances to cultural games, the spirit of global celebration was felt in every corner of the school.
A highlight for many was the incredible work of our Canteen Team, who served delicious dishes inspired by the continent of the day. Their creativity and effort brought people together and offered a flavourful glimpse into cultures from around the world.
International Week at BSC is more than just a series of events—it’s a meaningful opportunity to build understanding, foster inclusion and celebrate what makes each of us unique. In a world that is more connected than ever, these moments of cultural exchange and appreciation are essential in shaping empathetic, informed and open-minded global citizens.
We are proud of our diverse community, and we thank all students, staff, and families who participated, supported or contributed in any way to making International Week such a success. Your involvement is what makes Brighton Secondary College a truly inclusive and culturally rich place to learn and grow.
