Walk to School Day Interviews

By Ada, Meina & Anna

As you may know, last Friday we held the 2025 CPS Walk to School Day. On this special day, many students from all year levels walked to school or were dropped off nearby to walk the rest of the way. If you got to school early, there were some before-school activities you could participate in. A few of the student leaders interviewed some of the kids who walked to school…

Diana (Prep): “I drove ’til halfway, then I got dropped off somewhere to walk the rest of the way. I did the skipping in the morning.”

Sophia (Prep): “I drove halfway, then I walked the rest of the way. I didn’t do the skipping in the morning.”

Aisling (Year 1): “I walked the whole way from my house, which took around 15 minutes. I did skip.”

Amelia (Year 2): “I walked 10 minutes and got dropped off. I did not skip.”

Lillian (Year 3): “I walked the whole way from my house, which took maybe 10–12 minutes? I did the skipping.”

Harper (Year 4): “I walked to school, which was maybe a 10-minute walk. I was dropped off at Princes Park though. I did the skipping.”

Anna (Year 5): “I drove for a bit, was dropped off, then walked for about 10 minutes. I didn’t do the skipping.”

Nina (Year 6): “I walked for 5 minutes, but I still walked the whole way. I skipped.”
