As we reach the halfway point of this term, our students have been busily completing a range of assessments across many aspects of the curriculum. Assessment results in conjunction with classroom activities and ongoing formative assessment form the basis of our teacher Semester Report judgments against the Curriculum Standards. 

Semester One Student Reports

Student Reports will be available to view and download from Compass on Friday 27th June. To access your child’s report, click on their profile picture and then the ‘Reports’ tab. I encourage you to download a copy of your child’s report for your own records, as once your child completes their schooling at PPS you will no longer have access to their profile on Compass.

A reminder that there will be a reduction in the amount of Achievement Standards in this reporting cycle compared to previous Student Reports due to the Department of Education changes to the Maths Curriculum.

Parent-Teacher Conference Information and Dates

Bookings Open: Tuesday 24th June

Bookings Close: Monday 30th June

Conferences: Tuesday 1st July 1:00pm – 6:00pm all via Webex (pupil free day)

Grade 1S Conferences: Wednesday 11th June 9:30am - 2:00pm all via Webex (bookings are now open for 1S only)

To book a Parent-Teacher Conference, activate the ‘More’ tab and then ‘Conference’ within the Compass platform. We will hold the Conferences via Webex as it is a Pupil Free Day with no students at school.We encourage separated families, where possible, to attend the same Conference. This will ensure that all parents are present for the same communication, discussion or questions relating to your child.

Your child’s classroom teacher will post the link to their Webex Room on Compass prior to Tuesday  1st July. The ‘Cisco Webex Meetings’ app can be downloaded from the app store and will work on a smartphone or ipad. You can also use a laptop or PC to access the Webex Room link. The Conferences will run for 10 minutes and we ask that you are logged into the meeting lobby prior to your appointment time. 

I’ll alert you on Compass when Student Reports are available and when Parent-Teacher Bookings open.
