Reconciliation Week | Bridging Now to Next

Reconciliation Week (27 May – 3 June) celebrates First Nations Peoples and is a time for all Australians to show their support for reconciliation.

This year, the College's First Nations group proudly planned and led a range of activities aligned with the 2025 theme, Bridging Now to Next, which highlights the importance of connecting our past, present and future as we continue our journey toward unity and respect.

Throughout the week, students from both the Junior and Senior Schools decorated paper leaves for a whole-school art installation – a Reconciliation Tree that shares messages of love, justice and hope for our First Nations friends.

We also took time to reflect on what reconciliation means to us as a College community, and how we can live it out in our daily lives. These reflections were shared during a special Senior School assembly and Junior School line-up.

Last Thursday, following the Senior School assembly, the First Nations group hosted a lunchtime screening of four Lutruwita Dreaming stories in the Nagle Centre.

On this day, the school community was encouraged to wear a splash of yellow and make a donation to Children’s Ground, a charity supporting Indigenous children.

Thank you to the First Nations students and staff for all your work. As a College, we walk together with courage, respect and a shared commitment to reconciliation.
