From the Principal

Mr Damian Messer

As we reach the halfway point of Term 2, I am delighted to reflect on the vibrant array of activities that have taken place over the last few weeks. Our school community has been buzzing with energy and enthusiasm. It's been wonderful to see students and teachers alike engaging in various initiatives and events.

Today, the College Wellbeing team launched The Push-Up Challengean initiative aimed at raising awareness and support for better mental health across Australia. Throughout June, students are invited to join lunchtime push-up sessions every Wednesday. This challenge not only encourages physical fitness but also creates meaningful opportunities to reflect on mental health and overall wellbeing.

Our Year 7 students recently enjoyed their retreats, which provided opportunities for reflection, bonding and personal growth. These retreats are an integral part of our school's commitment to nurturing the holistic development of our students.

As our Year 10 students head into their first set of exams, we wish them the best of luck. Their dedication and hard work are commendable, and we are confident that they will achieve great results.

Looking ahead, I am thrilled to announce our upcoming Mini Winter Festival, scheduled for Friday 8 August. This event promises to be a memorable celebration of our talented Performing Arts students. We will also be sharing comforting winter dishes, drinks and desserts with our community.

I look forward to welcoming everyone and celebrating together.

You can find the registration link and further details about the event in the 'Take Note' section of this newsletter.
