Mr Ray Hickey
Thank you for making our Grandparents and Special Friends’ Day an amazing event!
Thank you for sharing photos of your children with the special people in their lives. Seeing the happy images in the Google Slide presentation put a smile on the faces and in the hearts of everyone present in the Church for the Prayer Liturgy.
Thank you to the students who volunteered to read prayers during the Prayer Liturgy.
Thank you to the families who lit the candles representing all of our families and for those special people who have passed away.
Thank you to Fr Darien and Deacon Malcolm for leading our Prayer Liturgy.
Thank you to the parents who donated food for the afternoon tea and to the parents who served the food and drinks to the special visitors.
Thank you to the student school leaders who assisted in The Hub during the Afternoon Tea.
Thank you to all of the students for making our visitors feel welcomed in the classrooms.
Thank you to the school staff for everything they did to prepare for the activities and making sure the afternoon was a success.
Thank you to Mrs Herbison, Mrs Ellis and Mr Lo Ricco for all of the ‘behind the scenes’ work to make sure everything ran smoothly.
Thank you to the Grandparents and Special Friends for making our day extra special.
Thank you everyone!
August is dedicated to 'mutual coexistence' or 'accepting everyone'.
Pope Leo XIV has asked the world to pray for mutual coexistence during the month of August.
There is an old saying, “If everyone was the same then the world would be a very boring place.”
We need to accept and value our similarities and differences.
This needs to be encouraged by our faith, community and world leaders.
Often the change needs to begin with us, the everyday people.
Please try to find some quiet time in your busy day to pray Pope Leo's Prayer Intention for the month of August.
Thank you.
For mutual coexistence
Let us pray that societies where coexistence seems more difficult might not succumb to the temptation of confrontation for ethnic, political, religious, or ideological reasons.
Amen
