Supporting Catholic Missions - Socktober

Socktober is the annual appeal for Catholic Mission - an official aide agency of the Catholic Church. The 2026 appeal will support the work of Catholic Missions in Malawi providing greater access to education, healthcare and rebuilding housing and community infrastructure after weather events and natural disasters.

We are participating in Socktober in Week 9 of this term. This event will involve the students learning about the lives of communities in Malawi, and how the work of Catholic Missions supports them, fundraising through seeking sponsorship and a colourful socks day, and solidarity with children around the world through making soccer balls from recycled materials and old socks. The students will then use these balls in a penalty shoot-out competition.

How you can get involved:

• Search the sock draw for any old, odd socks that can be repurposed and send them to school by the 31st of August.
• Sponsor, or seek sponsorship for our school's participation in the "Socktober Sock Ball Shoot-out" event at Socktober - St Therese's Primary School, Kennington
• Talk with your children about what they have learnt about the work of Catholic missions during Week 9

Mass for Fathers - Friday 4th September

You are all invited to join the Foundation, Grade One, and Grade Two Students in celebrating the Fathers and special people in our lives that do so much for us.

Save the date - Grades 5 and 6 Parent and Student Puberty Education Night

The parent and student puberty education nights for Grade Five and Grade Six students will be held in an online format. Please mark the following dates in your calendar. More information will be sent home closer to the dates.
