Parent Battle of The Bands wrap up

What an incredible night! A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our school at Parents’ Battle of the Bands on Thursday 14 May at The Croxton!

Our very own parents band, The Nits, were absolutely incredible and truly brought the energy on the night, it was so fun to see them up on stage and having such a great time. It was also fantastic to see a new group of parents perform so well in their debut appearance!

Huge congrats to Michael Eva on guitar, Daniel Monge on guitar & vocals, Olivia Laskowski on vocals,  Delaney Stewart on bass and vocals, Sam Couple on vocals and cow bell and Tim Phillips on drums and vocals.

Congratulations to the winning bands on the night:

🥇 1st Place – Lost Property (Ivanhoe East Primary School)

🥈 2nd Place – Escuela de Rock (Newlands Primary School)

🎟️ Top Ticket Sellers- THAT WAS US! Northcote Primary School sold an incredible 108 tickets on the night, taking home the prize for most tickets sold. The proceeds from these ticket sales will be coming back to our school's music program so watch this space.

🎓 Rock Academy Music Scholarship-  We are thrilled to share that Northcote Primary has been awarded the Rock Academy Student Scholarship, valued at $700. This scholarship is awarded to a Grade 6 student to help them on their music journey. A student who shows outstanding music potential and has the confidence to get involved will be selected for the Rock Academy Scholarship, where they’ll be mentored by established artists as they rehearse a cover song and write an original song to perform on a real rock stage.  Our music teacher will be in touch with the lucky recipient soon to get them signed up.
