Principal's Message

Walk of Joy
During the past few weeks, our community was lifted by the Walk of Joy with Bishop Hans Christiansen—a vibrant expression of our Anglican identity. It was inspiring to see our students and staff walk alongside Bishop Hans at various stages from John Wollaston Anglican Community School, and then to St Hilda’s Anglican School, culminating in a beautiful Eucharist Service at Saint George’s Cathedral in Perth. The Walk of Joy grounds us in the qualities that we celebrate: compassion, courage, integrity and hope. At All Saints’ College, our Anglican faith is the foundation for who we are and how we act; it gives us both clarity of purpose and a steady compass for decision-making. In worship, service and daily relationships, we seek to live out a generous, thoughtful faith that welcomes every learner and calls us to contribute beyond ourselves.
ASC Meets The WA Jazz Project
Celebration has many sounds at All Saints’ College—and lately it has sounded a lot like jazz. On Thursday 14 May, we were thrilled to welcome the Western Australian Jazz Project to ASC for a special concert in conjunction with the talented musicians of our student jazz ensembles, Swingin' Saints, Funky Saints and Jazz Saints, and the Guarneri Strings.
The concert, appropriately titled ASC Meets The WA Jazz Project, was an incredible celebration of jazz music from the early swing era (Louis Armstrong) through to the modern funk-infused stylings of Jacob Mann and more.
The WA Jazz Project (WAJP) are Western Australia's most prestigious jazz orchestra, with an incredible roster of professional musicians deeply embedded in the Australian jazz scene. Our students had the incredible opportunity of an extensive workshop and joint rehearsal with WAJP, culminating in a live concert collaboration. Current ASC staff and WAJP members Harry Mitchell, Pierson Snowsill and Jeremy Trezona also performed on the night.
Congratulations to our performers, both students and staff, for an exceptional evening that showcased skill, collaboration, and joy.
Dr Justin Coulson
We were delighted to host Dr Justin Coulson, whose sessions with families and staff focused on practical strategies to strengthen wellbeing, connection and resilience. His message aligns closely with our ethos: young people flourish when expectations are high, relationships are strong, and rest and play have their rightful place. Thank you to the College Foundation who supported ASC in hosting Dr Justin Coulson.
Outdoor Learning at ASC
Outdoor learning remains a hallmark of an All Saints’ education. Our Year 6 students are currently enjoying their Albany program, weaving history, environment, and character-building into a memorable adventure. Next week, our Year 8 students will head to Dwellingup, where challenge-by-choice activities foster teamwork, self-belief and stewardship of Country. These programs deepen learning by moving it beyond the classroom—where curiosity, grit, and gratitude are tested and strengthened. We are extremely proud of our extensive Outdoor Learning Program, and I thank our professional and dedicated staff who give up time away from their families to provide our students with these significant learning experiences.
Senior School Examinations
For our senior students, Year 11 and 12 examinations are approaching. We encourage thorough, purposeful study balanced with healthy routines: regular exercise, quality sleep, nutritious food, and time to connect with family and friends. Effective revision plans, short, focused study blocks, and past-paper practice make a real difference—as does stepping away from the screen to reset. If you need support, please reach out to teachers, Heads of House, and our wellbeing team; we are here to help you perform at your best.
All the best.

Principal
