Project Compassion
Thank you to everybody who has donated or raised funds for Project Compassion in 2026.
On Tuesday and Wednesday last week, the brave teachers who volunteered to be dunked with icy cold water if we reached certain fundrasing targets stepped up to the challenge. Thank you to Mr Byrne, Ms Dening, Mr Gulavin, Mrs Mitchell, Mrs Hautot, Mrs Jackson, Mrs Pettinato, Mrs Gill, Mrs Hansen, Ms Mackay, Mrs Hollow, Mr Dame and Fr Sang. Click the links below to see the videos.
We have completely smashed our target and have currently raised $3,963.
Caritas is still taking donations, so if you would like to donate, simply click the link below.

RE Learning in 3/4JH
This week, students in 3/4JH explored the Resurrection story by comparing the accounts in the Gospels of Gospel of Matthew and Gospel of Mark. They identified key similarities and differences between the two texts, noticing how each writer shares the same important event in slightly different ways.
Through this learning, students developed their understanding that the Gospels were written for different audiences and purposes, and that multiple perspectives can help us build a richer understanding of a story. Students also reflected on the significance of the Resurrection for Christians and discussed the message of hope that it represents.
Sunday Gospel
The liturgy of the Catholic Church provides a framework for reflection which is used by Catholics throughout the world. Each week in the Newsletter, you will find the Sunday Gospel as well as some discussion questions to have with your child/ren.
A reading from the holy Gospel according to John
Jesus said to his disciples:
‘If you love me you will keep my commandments. I shall ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate to be with you for ever, that Spirit of truth whom the world can never receive since it neither sees nor knows him; but you know him, because he is with you, he is in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come back to you. In a short time the world will no longer see me; but you will see me, because I live and you will live. On that day you will understand that I am in my Father and you in me and I in you. Anybody who receives my commandments and keeps them will be one who loves me; and anybody who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I shall love him and show myself to him.’
Discussion Questions
1. Who are the people who love you?
2. What do they ask of you in return for their love?
3. Jesus loves us and asks us to keep his commandments. What are some of his commandments?
Jesus says the Holy Spirit will help us. Let us pray for the Holy Spirit to help us love others.
