Green Team Update
Starting next week, the Green Team is rolling out ‘Waste Free Thursday’. Every Thursday, we will collect tubs for each grade and weigh their rubbish to see if the amount of waste is being reduced. The aim is to avoid plastic waste and other food packaging from going into landfill.
To help us with this, you at home can use reusable containers instead of single use packaging and buying food in bulk or larger packaging (which also saves money). This is part of our Green Team goals to make our school have less waste and more to be more sustainable.

They participated in a self guided tour along with the “Animal Adaptations and Features” program.
They learnt :

- About ecosystems and what animals need to thrive in their environment
- The impact of humans on places, habitats and ecosystem
Book Week
Book Week was a huge success....thank you to everyone who got involved in so many ways.
St Bernard's Has Got Talent was SO fantastic, we will now do it each month so everyone who wants to perform has the opportunity. Starting next term, keep an eye out for details so you can be ready to showcase your talents.
Thank you to families who purchased books through our Book Fair, we sold over $2,000 worth of books and can now claim $500 of books for our library. In addition to $700 spent last week on new graphic novels (which the children love) from our monthly online Scholastic sales that many families purchase from also.
If any parents have some spare time to cover these new books please let me know. We can send them home to do when it suits you.
We are so appreciative of all the support and enthusiasm, we have plans for next year already, so get ready!
