Looking for U8 Basketball Players

We are looking for players to join our Good Shepherd Under 8 basketball team.

If your child is interested, please download and fill out the expression of interest form and hand in to the front office or email.

Year 4/5 Raptors

The GS Raptors played the GS Nets Thursday afternoon.  Even though it was a competitive game, it was great to see school friends have fun with each other on the court.  The Raptors only had 4 players available.  A big thank you to Kohen for stepping up and playing with the Raptors as this gave us 5 players to start the game with.  With no interchange players, the Raptors fought hard all match, but in the end, went down 26-34.  Well done to Jayden, Oscar, Downey, Heath and Kohen.  It is not easy playing a fast paced game with no rest.

Year 4/5 Warriors

Yr 4/5 Warriors vs Pedare Slammers. It was a tough game against a quick team in the Slammers. Warriors did well in the 2nd half to turn up their defence and more opportunities at the basket. We had the momentum but ran out of time. Well done team with 4 scorers this week and some great rebounds from Shayla in her 2nd game.

GS Little Jordans

Gs Little Jordans vs CH Cub to 15.

We will keep practicing our skills however it is encouraging to see team members continuing to have fun. Star player tonight was Ezekiel who gains more confidence each week. Hirdey is our new player and came out strong and confident.  Once again all players are working well as a team.

7&Under GS Stars

This week was a fast moving game with many large and fast throws down the court - some even so powerful they went over everyone's heads. We're getting some strong arms here! The whole team brought a great energy to the court, defending well, leading strongly, and chasing down loose balls. This did however sometimes result in a few bumps and knocks to knees and elbows - even a ball to the nose! 

We had another great win with our goalies sharing the shots on goal with each other - showing great team work and every bit of game day practice helps! Awesome work team!

8&Under Thunder

In week 3 it was head to head with GS Little Jordans. Everyone’s effort was impressive. A big thank you to Xavier for filling in so we could have a game. Zeppelin had his best game with defensive steals and his first goal. Chase with hot pressure on the line. Exciting long shot from Austin and Tyson top scoring. The team all played their part.
