Code Camp for Year 3&4 students

We are trialling an after school program, run by Code Camp, for our Year 3&4 students in Term 4.  The coding sessions incorporate weekly challenges, functions, algorithms, branching, variables, game logic, user experience and maths.

From Code Camp:

'Coding after-school' is an 8-week program with a new project each week, and the fun doesn’t have to stop after class! Your child will be provided with their very own Code Camp World account which they can use to continue creating at home and to share their projects with family and friends.

If this is something that your Year 3 or 4 child would be interested in, please click on the button below.

Growing Faith at Home

What does it mean to ‘take up your cross and follow Jesus’? This week’s GFH resource shares some ideas about this. Here are a couple of questions to chat over with your family for a start. What is something you find difficult to do? What makes it so? Why do people wear crosses? God bless your week everyone!

Scholastic Book Club

Scholastic catalogues have been sent home with students this week. Orders are only being accepted via the Loop ordering system. No cash will be accepted. If you need help to do this please come and talk to us at the front office.

Scholastic apps are available to download for both Apple and Android devices to make ordering through the Loop system easier.

There is the option to mark your purchases as GIFTS. When these books arrive you will be contacted directly, rather than books going home with students. Please also note that some titles offered, differ from the Christian ethos followed by the school.

Orders need to be placed via LOOP by Thursday 7th September 2023.

Happy Reading Everyone!
